I’m really not coming from a place of judgement here; weddings are extremely expensive, and as a guest, I think I speak for everyone when I say we would all rather be at a semi-ugly place eating and dancing than being at a literal palace with nothing to eat. That’s why I didn’t understand why the bride's mom took offense when people started leaving when they needed food. Maybe they miscalculated the quantity of snacks, and I understand that can sting, but hunger is hunger.
